HT 15′ Zone 3-8 Outstanding fresh-eating qualities make this red colored fruit variety an American favorite. Fruit is aromatic and sweet as honey with an explosively juicy, crisp texture. Grow this naturally compact tree even in small spaces. Hgt.15 feet. Sun, well-drained soil.

MACINTOSH APPLE

Malus ‘Macintosh’

HT 15′-20′ Zones 4-6 A semi dwarf, Cold-hardy native of Canada and national tree. Round, red, mildly tart fruit has a soft texture when cooked. Gives apple sauce and cider a spicy kick; bakes up juicy tender and great eating apple. Height 15-20 feet. Full sun. Ripens in mid Sept. A reliable favorite for our area.

SWEET SIXTEEN APPLE

Malus ‘Sweet Sixteen’

HT 12′-15′ Zones 3-7 Rosy red, crisp, juicy and sweet. Perfect fresh or baked into pies, crisps and cobblers. Fans say it has a hint of vanilla flavor. Apples are medium-to-large and store well. Withstands subzero temperatures yet very vigorous and bears heavily. Ripens in mid-September. Pollinator required: Choose another apple variety.

Zestar Apple (PP11367) (Semi Dwarf)

HT 15′ Zone 4-6 Zestar™ ripens in late August. This depending on sun exposure. Where the sun hit the fruit, a bright rosy-red blush develops. Shaded areas are often creamy yellow. This apple can be stored up to 2 months in refrigeration and still maintain its great taste and crunch. This apple is sure to become a favorite and is a medium sized, sweet-tart balanced apple with a hint of brown sugar flavor. Light, crispy and juicy. Great for eating out of hand. Should have a pollinator tree in area.

MOUNT ROYAL PLUM

Prunus ‘Mount Royal’

HT 15′ Zone 2-7 Heirloom purple plum we all remember, fresh from the tree or pitted and dried or used for canning. The flesh is firm, high in sugar and good flavor. Prune plums are self-fertile, requiring no pollinator, on own root seed, and ripen in September.
