Semi-Dwarf Apple Trees

Empire

Ripens in August. Disease resistant Sweet. Self-pollination, rich red color. Good eating and cooking apple. Resistant to fire blight and cedar rust. Zones 4-7

Good Mac (new)

A large, straw colored apple that ripens late Sept to early Oct. The "Good Mac" produces a reliable crop of crisp, crunchy, dessert quality fruit. Keeps well in cold storage, apple pie, and cider. Zones 3-6

Honeycrisp

Highly outstanding large red dessert apple. Aromatic and sweet with juicy, crisp texture. Needs another apple for pollination. Zones 3-7

Spartan

Dark red dessert quality. Also good for cooking. Excellent keeper. Self-fertile. High antioxidant level. Resistant to scab, mildew and fireblight. Zone 3-9

Snow (Famuse) (new)

Heirloom: 1600's France; introduced to the United States via Canada in 1730 and planted in W. MT 1910. Ripens late September, a beautiful red and tender skin covers a crisp, snow white, spicy, aromatic flesh. Excellent dessert apple, used for cider and cooking. Snow apple stores well. It has good disease resistance to mildew and bacterial canker, but is susceptible to scab. Zones 3-8

Wealthy (new)

Has its own distinctive flavor, dessert, sauce, cider, and cooking apple. Ripens mid-September with striped, bright red over a greenish yellow skin. Wealthy is hardy, very juicy apple, with a tart and sweet strawberry-like flavor. Zones 4-7

Chief Plenty Coup Wealthy (new)

Montana heritage apple, five of the trees stand to this day and are some of the oldest and biggest in Montana at around 120 years. A dessert, sauce, cider, and cooking apple. Ripens mid-September with striped, bright red over a greenish yellow skin. Wealthy is hard, very juicy apple, with a tart and sweet strawberry-like flavor. Zones 2-5

Calville Blanc D'Hiver (new)

An old apple of antiquity, known from France in the early 1600s. A very large & attractive variety from France. It bears bright yellow fruit with firm, crisp flesh. With pleasant spicy flavor, it is great for fresh eating, cider & cooking. It is disease resistant & ripens in October. Ht. 12-16 ft., similar spread. Sun to partial shade. Water weekly, requires another apple for Pollination. Hardy in Zone 4-7
